Delivering consistent and engaging exercise programs to speed up rehabilitation and build confidence and capacity
Faster recovery from a condition, less pain and a reduction in the chance of re-injury are some of the benefits of a good exercise and rehabilitation program. Exercise has many benefits for people’s mental health, motivation and lifestyle as well.
Our one-on-one exercise based programs are focused on boosting wellbeing, rebuilding independent living and establishing functional capacity for returning to work.
We partner with wellbeing and health specialists, Be Active, to tailor programs that best work for each person and their needs, fitting in with their life, health, wellbeing and return to work goals. Our programs are run by qualified, experienced Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP) and Physiotherapists.
We adopt Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies to motivate change in unhelpful and unhealthy habits of thinking, feeling and behaving to elicit positive and immediate change on a person’s quality of life.
Partnering with Be Active for effective and engaging exercise programs
Be Active Exercise Rehabilitation Programs run from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the return to work requirements.
The aim is to increase functional capacity so that a worker can better meet the demands of the job (in the absence of a workplace to maintain work conditioning). The bonus is that successful exercise programs invariably improve people’s ability to manage not just their work, also their whole life, health and wellbeing.
The program includes:
- Program tailoring to the needs of the worker to ensure the return to work goal can be achieved
- Training for work conditioning, manual handling or functional education
- Progress reporting of all information relating to capacity for work
- Ongoing communication with all stakeholders and health professionals
