WA—WorkFocus Australia attends The 2019 MADALAH Ball at Crown Perth in support of raising funds to assist in providing more educational opportunities for Indigenous students.

WorkFocus Australia’s WA team had the pleasure of attending the 2019 Madalah Ball to support an amazing organisation responsible for providing scholarships to Indigenous students from remote and regional areas of Western Australia.  The event included performances and presentations from current Madalah scholarship students as well as a live auction to raise funds for future scholarships.

The MADALAH Ball is a significant undertaking coordinated solely to increase the number of educational opportunities for young Indigenous Western Australians, and with the WorkFocus Australia Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Service now well underway, members from the team were proud to show solidarity and support through attendance at the sold out annual fundraiser.

The theme for 2019, This is Us resonated prominently throughout the evening with approximately 850 guests in attendance (ranging from secondary and tertiary scholarship holders, Employment and Education Housing program participants, board members, staff, future leaders, Alumni including a WA Young Person of the Year, a pilot, engineers, artists, filmmakers, teachers and community leaders) all coming together to support the development of talent.

The event also marked the 10th anniversary of MADALAH and provided an opportunity to continue celebrating empowerment through education.
