NATIONAL – celebrating and recognising the achievements of our people at our inaugural ‘Impact Awards’

Sydney and Hunter team members celebrating from their offices

Thursday 10 March 2022 saw the launch of our first annual awards event, the ‘Impact Awards’.  Where, across the country, our teams came together to celebrate and recognise individuals who went over and above in the last year to make the greatest impacts to their clients, customers, communities and colleagues. Hosted by Marc D’Amico, WorkFocus Australia’s General Manager, this year’s event was held both virtually and at offices, to cater for Covid workplace regulations.

The award’s recognised six categories of achievement, Best New Starter, Emerging Leader, Outstanding RTW Achievement, Customer Choice Award, Culture Champion and the pinnacle award, the ‘Impact Award’.  The awards were presented by Marc D’Amico and senior managers from across WorkFocus Australia and MedHealth, including Craig Orton, Group Executive – Return to Work and Rehabilitation, Nicole Kittelty, Executive General Manager – Rehab and Health Services, and Amanda England, Head of Customer Relationships and Performance at WorkFocus Australia.

Culture Champion

The Culture Champion award, created to foster recognition from within and highlight unsung heroes, enabled peers to nominate team members in the leadup to the event. A remarkable 17 nominations were submitted, all highlighting unique stories of individuals who had gone over and above to support their colleagues. Following the quality of the nominations, the judging panel decided that a Culture Champion would be awarded in each of the three WorkFocus Australia operating regions.

Impact Award presented to Hollie Price

Hollie Price winner of the Impact Award

The Impact Award is the pinnical award of the event and is presented to one of the winners of the monthly Focus Awards from 2021.

The Focus Awards recognise a team member within WorkFocus Australia who not only displays our values, but goes above and beyond to support their clients, customers, community and team.

From a highly competitive field, Hollie Price was presented the first ever Impact Award. Hollie was recognised in her nomination for her dedication and passion to her role and for providing excellent support to team members. As further highlighted in Hollie’s nomination ‘nothing is too much trouble for Hollie, she is an exceptional Rehab Consultant. Coming from a clinical Physio background, Hollie has taken to rehab like a duck to water! She goes above and beyond to assist all her clients and there are countless examples, including when Hollie spent a whole day helping a homeless DVA client get into an emergency shelter.’

‘Not only is Hollie an exceptional consultant, but she has been assisting with onboarding two staff members in the Darwin office in 2021 which is 50% of the team!’

Congratulations again to all of this year’s finalists and winners, we look forward to hosting the Impact Awards again in 2023.
