Award-winning performance in Victoria
WorkFocus Australia was delighted to win three Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA) awards for Victoria last Friday, 9 September 2016 in Melbourne.
With finalists in three of the nine categories, WorkFocus Australia picked up all three awards:
- Naomi Kuek of WorkFocus Australia won Best New Starter – Original Employer, helping a high potential young carpenter with vision loss negotiate his new disability and return to his beloved profession;
- Ryan Mayvis of WorkFocus Australia picked up Outstanding Consultant – Original Employer, for his efforts negotiating case management alongside product, account and business management; and
- WorkFocus Australia won the Innovation in Return to Work award for a new on-boarding approach, coupled with mentoring, which has helped increase retention.
Divisional Manager of WorkFocus Australia, Corina Della-Posta, said the provider has enjoyed year-on-year success in the ARPA awards, both in Victoria and more widely across Australia.
“Our continued success is great recognition of our committed people, who work hard to get injured workers quickly back to work and meet the needs of both employers and our insurer customers. They truly are award-winning staff.
“I also really want to acknowledge all the amazing work our rehabilitation teams do every day in getting people back to work. Awards like these see us nominate some of the stand-out cases, cases that were skilfully managed by these consultants. However, we don’t lose sight of the fact that our everyday cases can improve people’s lives just as much. In the end, it’s all about optimising the health benefits of work while achieving outcomes for our valued customers.”
