Culturally Sensitive Aboriginal RTW Service Newsletter
Ensuring Australia’s First Nations Peoples receive recovery and return to work support
WorkFocus Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which we live and work, and pays respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise that the health of our people is connected to the health of our planet. We value access and inclusion and seek to listen, learn and build strong partnerships. We aim to provide genuine opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples within our workforce and through our business.
Our culturally sensitive Aboriginal RTW service is founded on our underlying rehabilitation service delivery model, with targeted Consultants trained and educated in Cultural Competence. The service (and training that comes with it) allows for increased cultural sensitivity, understanding and awareness of how-to best approach specific vocational and non-vocational barriers to return to work experienced by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples so that they can reach into their rich and unique culture to overcome the challenges of recovering and returning to work.
These bi-monthly newsletters have been compiled for our valued customers with the aim of providing regular updates on the amazing work, initiatives and events our service team have been engaged in, as well as to provide information about upcoming dates of significance.
